In RCTW, there is a mode called Scenario which is similar to Campaign. The only difference is that the developers have set you up in a place with a pre-built park that you can edit with assignments to do. For example: the first scenario is where you must take a successful park higher, so the developers have set you a park with high income and money. From here you can forever edit the park but you must stick to the assignments. Another difference about Scenario Mode is that you have a time limit to complete the scenario. This is usually 12 months / 1 year.

It is the first game in the RollerCoaster Tycoon series and was the only game. The scenarios in 2 suck, don't even bother with them. Which is a shame, because a lot of them are well-designed. However, the scenario editor can make them much more playable. If you load the predesigned scenarios into the editor, you can change anything you want about them.
